GENESIS CHAPTER 3 COMMENTS
Early on, in the first verse of chapter 3 of Genesis, comments on the snake.
The serpent is identified as Satan, this time is shown entering and evil attempt to stay on Earth.
From verse 1 to 4 there was a dialogue between the serpent and Eve, Adam's wife, about what God had told them not to do in the garden (ie eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil).
And soon after in verse 6 of chapter is shown when Eve eats the fruit of the forbidden tree, and offers also for the man who accepts and eats the fruit.
After eating the fruit, they start embarrassment for being naked in the garden, and covered themselves with fig leaves and hid in a local garden so that it will not find God.
But God is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient, He is in all places at the same time, he knows where everyone is at all times, He knows all thoughts of any living being.
When God asks Adam, because he had sinned, Adam responds that it was the woman's fault.
When God asks Eve, why not respect the order of Him, she said it was the fault of the serpent.
God was saddened by Adam and Eve, disrespected because the only thing God had said they could not do.
Then God told Eve that the pain of childbirth would multiply, and her desire would be for her husband, and he dominate her.
And the man said some things, but the most striking was that when God spoke the sweat of her face would eat the bread (any food means not only the bread), until it became the land because it was taken from her, because thou art dust , and to dust you shall return. That's what God said to them.
And after God sent them out of the garden, and placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
One lesson we can have is that even being given everything for us, yet we are dissatisfied with what we have and what we can not have, curiosity is something that can disrupt a person in a way that the person is not careful may have a disease and perhaps a future death from curiosity.
We all have desires, whether big or small, but we just mastered it.
